I’ve been recounting my adventures while not on the road. After a trip to Carlsberg and the Zoo this would be our last day in Copenhagen so we decided to relax a little.
National Museum
After a quick coffee we spent the morning at Denmark’s National museum. There was a large exhibit on Scandinavian history with a focus on vikings. Unfortunately it was pretty dark in some of the exhibits so I wasn’t able to get too many photos, but the Museum is very large and you could easily spend a good day here.
Lunch
After leaving the Museum, we visited Told and Snaps, it was a place we had wanted to visited during our time in Copenhagen. We weren’t disappointed, we picked up three dishes and all of them were delicious! But my favorite was the pork, there was a crispy skin and a beautiful taste!
Waterfront
Since we had the whole afternoon, we decided to revisit Nyhavn. We really enjoyed our first visits to the area and thought it’d be an awesome place to grab a drink and people watch. It was a weekend and so we got to enjoy some live music while we had some beverages. We eventually walked along the water and made our way to Denmark’s Royal Library. It was this awesome black diamond looking structure. We had seen it from our canal cruise a few days earlier and decided to pop in as it was along the water. All in all it was a perfect change of pace to a pretty busy few days of exploration.
Stavanger
The next day was a travel day so we took the train to Copenhagen airport ready to get on our short flight to Stavanger Norway. We didn’t spend much time in the airport on our way in, but given the time I got to appreciate the airport a little bit more.
We arrived in Stavanger in the late afternoon, and after settling into our hotel room we strolled around town to get our bearings. Stavanger is a small and quiet town. We made it a point to come here because we wanted to hike pulpit rock and we would do it tomorrow. In the meantime we enjoyed a quiet evening in Stavanger with the aim of getting up early the next day to go on the hike
